Money Raising Youngsters Swim for Cancer Research UK

A group of local youngster aged 12 - 17 will be at Pingles Leisure Centre this Saturday 8th June, swimming to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Swimming pool space and access to it is a precious commodity within Nuneaton & Bedworth. We have two main swimming pools in the borough and the demand for use of these pools is high, particularly in the late afternoons, early evenings and weekends when it is very popular to have a swim after a hard day’s or week’s work or time at school.

Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT) is committed to providing high levels of Health and Safety to both customers and employees alike within all of its operations throughout the business.

As a result of the continued high demand for water space at popular times at both Pingles and Bedworth Leisure Centres, we have had to review the applicable charges as from 1st June 2013.

On Monday 24th September at approximately 8.50pm during adult swimming lessons and Swim Fit session at Bedworth Leisure Centre, a gentleman, Mr Rick Leedham suffered a potentially fatal heart attack whilst in the pool. 

Returning to exercise has been perfectly timed by competition winner Ann Middleton who won 6 months Premium membership from the Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT).

The Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT) have added another site to their family of local facilities. The local leisure provider have expanded their collection of facilities to now include a ladies only gym based in Nuneaton town centre . Gym Heaven, the formally extremely popular ladies only gym has been through its ups and downs over the years and NBLT aim to return it to its former glory.
