By targeting priority wards we aim to assist in the reduction of alcohol, drugs and solvent misuse and the reduction of anti-social behaviour and nuisance crime.
We do this by engaging with and facilitating the empowerment of young people through their involvement in ongoing projects. This provides personal development opportunities for the young people involved and helps them to develop more socially acceptable behaviours.
We signpost the young people to a variety of organisations and agencies or guide and support them to form their own team or group and thus ascertain further funding for their own localised activities.
We provide advice on subjects such as; healthy living, relationship and sex education, drug and alcohol awareness, careers, volunteering, education and sporting opportunities.
We receive individual referrals from agencies that include, Youth Justice Service, Family Intervention Projects, Social Services and self referrals.
Each referral receives, intensive support, advice and guidance whilst working in partnership with the referring agency to ensure that every avenue is explored to divert them away from alcohol, drug and solvent misuse, anti social behaviour and crime.
