FREE FAMILY FUN AT THE ACADEMY!

Health & Fitness Family Fun for FREE!
Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT) are inviting all local residents to another Free Health & Fitness Family Fun Day! This time the family fun is taking place at the Nuneaton Academy Sports Centre, Radnor Drive, Nuneaton, CV10 7PD (Formally Alderman Smith Sports Centre). The event will run this Sunday March 11th from 11:00am until 2:00pm. The aim of this event is to help raise awareness of being healthy and taking part in regular exercise through a collection of FREE fun activities for families. Not only is the day FREE but people can also WIN big with a series of FREE to enter competitions and challenges! The Nuneaton Academy Sports Centre will also be offering some special offers for the day like a FREE Month and no sign up fee to anyone interested in joining the recently updated gym.
Alex Orton, NBLT Active Recreation Officer is looking forward to the day - "we are excited about another successful event and hope everyone gets involved as previous years. We have lots going on for kids and adults so it really will be great fun for the all family"
Ben Darby. Nuneaton Academy Sports Centre Operations Manager is a happy host - "these events are always fun and the centre will be buzzing! Its a great opportunity for people to see the facilities here at the Academy who might not typically use us and in the spirit of the days health & fitness focus we are offering some special offers too!"
There will be a variety of fun attractions and activities including the following:
• Free health checks
• Smoothie Bike – “pedal your way to 5-a-day”
• Healthy Eating ‘Play your Cards Right’
• Bouncy castle and soft play area
• Face painting
• Display’s and demo’s of various exercise, sports and dance classes
• Various information stands
• Refreshments
NBLT are also running numerous competitions on the day for all ages such as:
• Nintendo Wii Challenges
• A penalty shootout with Nuneaton Town player Gareth Dean
• So You Think You Can Dance Competition for under 12’s
• Superstars Challenge 2012
• Various Fitness Challenges including a rowing challenge
All competitions are free to enter so come along and have a go for the chance to win some fantastic prizes such as:
