Introduction 

 

Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT) is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that aspires to improve people's quality of life, health and well-being through leisure, fitness and activities which are accessible to all. NBLT is passionate about encouraging healthier life and fitter futures. Our mission is:

NBLT was established for the benefit of the public, primarily for those people who live, work or study in, or visit the Nuneaton and Bedworth area.

The aim of Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust is to provide (or help to provide) facilities and services for recreational, educational, sporting or other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare to the public at large or to any section or sections of the public who may have need of such facilities and services by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability or social and economic circumstances.

To promote and preserve good health through community participation in healthy recreation.

More specifically, the Trust’s vision statement is about “improving the Quality of Life” for all who live within the Borough. We are therefore dedicated to achieving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.

 Fee Policy Statement 

​

• In order to run the Children in Need funded activities and services, and be financially viable we have to ask children and young people to pay a set amount donation (fee) towards the cost of their lessons.
   

• An “Accessibility Fund” is ring fenced so children and young people can apply for help/grants to cover the cost of Children in Need funded activities and services should there be a financial difficulty.
   

• Applications for grants will be by letter and can be made throughout the year. Applications will be assessed by the Schools & Sporting Services Manager and Disability Inclusion Coordinator. 
   

 Objectives 
 

• To ensure that any potential chid or young person is not excluded from our activities on grounds of financial difficulty.
   

• To ensure that all parents/carers, health care workers, teachers, staff, trustees, committee members and volunteers are aware of this policy and can invite potential children and young people to apply to the accessibility fund for grants where needed.
   

 Eligibility 
 

• Proof of residence is required for all applications (including children, detailing BOTH name and address). This could be a council tax bill, driving licence, medical card or utility bill. Your request will not be accepted if you are unable to confirm proof of residence.
   

 Applicants may be in receipt of one of the following  
 

• Disability Living Allowance

• Job Seekers Allowance

• Income Support

• Housing Benefit

• Council Tax Benefit

We are unable to return any supporting documentation so copies will be required. Please DO NOT send originals. Documentation will be checked and if eligible your fee will be waived on a sessional and individual sessional basis.
