 Disability Inclusion Sports Co-ordinator (DISCO)

We provide disability sports and activities for children across the spectrum of disabilities

We provide disability sports and activities for children across the spectrum of disabilities and are proud to be funded by BBC Children in Need to deliver disability activities in the community of the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth.

Our commitment to the provision of sports for disabled young people is driven by a dedicated Disability Inclusion Sports Co-ordinator (DISCO). We are proud to be able to offer this, which is possible through funding from BBC Children in Need.

The Disability Inclusion Sports Co-ordinator (DISCO), which is a funded 20 hour post, supports young people between the ages of 5- 18 years who face a range of social, physical and learning impairments.

To enhance our offer and commitment to disabilities within the community, we are a partner with Sports Works, who is an award winning provider of sports, exercise and educational programmes throughout the UK for children and young people with disabilities.

The BBC Children in Need funding also helps us to deliver two disability family fun days per year. This day is a great way for all people living with a disability and their families/ carers to have a day to try new activities, find out more about local services and spend some time together as a family.
